Golden Globe Awards 2010 Red Carpet Review

A damp and rainy Hollywood awards season has officially kicked off with the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards. It was a night of 1000 umbrellas, dresses, and stars, some looking drop dead gorgeous, and some looking downright wrong. A few notable dress trends: Lots of black, peach and jewel tones, a whole load of gone through the shredding machine-looking ruffles, and a shower of sequins. So let's get on with it and recap some of RedPoppy's picks for best, handsomest, very blah, and worst looks of the night!

Best Dressed:

Cameron Diaz in Alexander McQueen

Christina Hendricks in Christian Siriano

Chloe Sevigny in Valentino

Mo'Nique in Reem Acra

Olivia Wilde in Gucci

Christina Aguilera in Versace

Marion Cotillard in Christian Dior

Vera Farmiga in Dolce & Gabbana

Diane Kruger in Christian Lacroix Haute Couture

Heather Graham in Elie Saab

Toni Collette (awful looking facial expression though)

Penelope Cruz in Armani Prive

Drew Barrymore in Atelier Versace. Yes there are two sprig-like growths on her gown, but she plain and simple looks very pretty

Tina Fey in Zac Posen Resort. Yes, I like it. Reminds me of a Sarah Jessica Parker ensemble, minus the umbrella

Lea Michele in Oscar de la Renta (beautiful dress but would have been better in a more youthful color)

Handsomest (men) of Red Carpet (please ignore significant others where applicable):

Sam Worthington

John Krasinski

Gerard Butler

Matthew Morrison aka Mr. Shue

Robin Thicke

Joshua Jackson

Samuel L. Jackson

Ed Helms

Very Blah:
Yaaaaaawn. Could you have tried a tad more imagination? I'm bored to tears....

Jennifer Aniston

Carey Mulligan loses 'Best Supporting 'Actress to someone who's actually wearing a bra
